mParking Services in Dubai, Pay Parking Fee thru SMS

I'm a motorist here in Dubai and I always used the paid parking since I have no other choice not to use it. And problem was when I'm busy and the time of my parking ticket expires you have no choice but to get back to your car and pay again to extend another hour. And I think RTA see these kind of scenario.

Now The Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) launched last Sunday May 2, 2009 another e-services and they called it mParking. A services that a motorist can now pay their parking fee thru mobile phone using SMS. According to them a lot of benefits a motorist can get using this mParking.

Benefits of mParking:

No hassle to find a parking meter and coins.
No worries about remaining parking time, with reminder alerts via SMS.
No need to run to buy another parking permit when your paid parking period is about to expire. Simply extend your parking period from the luxury of your office or home.

Steps for using mParking service for Non-Registered Users...

Send a SMS message in the following format: to the number 7275 (PARK) Example: A00000 123A 2 (for 2 hours) or A00000 123A (for 1 hour) Note: Zone No. will be on parking signage. You will receive a confirmation message which includes your virtual ticket details. Note: Please do NOT delete this message. You will receive a reminder message 10 minutes before the ticket expires. If you wish to extend for another hour, simply send a SMS "Y" to 7275 (PARK). Example: Y and send to the number 7275 (PARK) Note: Please check the terms of service regrading ticket extension.

Steps for using mParking service for Registered Users Send a SMS message in the following format: to the number 7275 (PARK) Example: Ali1 123A 2 (for 2 hours) or Ali1 123A (for 1 hour) Note: Nickname is the name you registered for your vehicle. Repeat the steps of the Non-Registered Users section from 2 to 4.

Help For assistance: Send the word HELP to 7275 (PARK). Each sms charge is 30 fils.
