Burj Khalifa observation deck reopened

Dubai: After nearly two months of closure due to "maintenance". The observation deck at the Burj Khalifa, At the Top, has been reopened. The Observation Deck is located at 124th floor of the world’s tallest building.

Burj Dubai is now Burj Khalifa

Dubai: January 4 2010, The Burj Dubai now "Burj Khalifa" was unveiled at a glittering ceremony by Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai this evening.


But in changing the tower’s name from Burj Dubai to Burj Khalifa, in honor of the president of Abu Dhabi, Dubai revealed a rare streak of humility consistent with its diminished economic condition.


The 160-storey building built at an estimated cost of $1.5 billion attracted hundreds and thousands of onlookers for the spectacular inauguration ceremony that combined a dazzling sound and light show. Now Burj Khlifa is the Tallest Tower in the World

Video of Men who Jumped at Burj Dubai to set Record

The Burj Dubai the world’s tallest tower at present and the centerpiece of the Gulf regions most prestigious urban development to date.



A news come out that a Brit and a Frenchman (a base jumper) sneaked in posing as engineers working on the construction project, climbed their way to an exit point at the top and then, simply “jumped”.
