Australia Townsville- A TOWNSVILLE man has been sacked for `un-Australian' toilet habits.

A TOWNSVILLE man has been sacked for `un-Australian' toilet habits.
Story from Townsville Bulletin

Another racism and discrimination attitude of the people telling that they are educated. What a bad habit from this kind of people, hey dude just look into a mirror and tell it to your self who the hell you think you are... A time will come you will be in 6 feet under the ground too...

So here's the story.

Amador Bernabe, 43, uses water to clean himself instead of toilet paper.

Mr Bernabe, a machine operator on a working visa from the Philippines, said it was his culture.

But on Thursday he got the shock of his life when his foreman followed him into the toilet questioning his toilet hygiene.

Mr Bernabe said his employer Townsville Engineering Industries (TEI) sacked him yesterday for not going to the toilet the Australian way.

TEI, which is located at the Bohle, could not be reached for comment yesterday.

The move has angered union bosses and politicians on the Australia Day weekend.

"I went to go to the toilet and I took a bottle of water when my foreman saw me and he said `you can't bring the water in there'," Mr Bernabe said.

"I asked why and he said it wasn't good but I said it's our way and he followed me into the toilet.

"I said it's my personal hygiene. I didn't break any law, I didn't break any rules of the company, why can't I do this, and he said he would report me to the manager.

"The next morning when I came in I went to punch my time card and he told me the manager wanted to talk to me in his office.

"He asked me what had happened and I explained to him and he said if I didn't follow the Australian way I would be immediately terminated and I said `sir, then you better terminate me'."

Australian Manufacturing Worker's Union state organiser Rick Finch said the incident was shocking.

"I think it is atrocious, an invasion of a person's rights and cultural beliefs," he said.

"The paradox of the toilet and a person's actions is something that no boss can even think about interfering with and the thought that bosses think they have the control to get involved in the toiletry is a gross invasion of an employee's privacy.

"If it wasn't so disgusting it would almost be laughable."

Mr Finch slammed the move as `bigoted'.

Greens spokeswoman Jenny Stirling praised Mr Bernabe for standing up for his rights.

"I commend the man for standing up for himself and I encourage the employer to have further talks with the union and the employee and I am sure commonsense will prevail," she said.

"I would like to see how Australians feel when they go to Europe where in places they don't have toilet paper."

STAR CINEMA’S Present "LOVE ME AGAIN" ( A movie from LAND DOWN UNDER) now in theaters in the Middle East

Press Released:

STAR CINEMA’S LOVE ME AGAIN (LAND DOWN UNDER)
SHOWING IN THEATERS ALL OVER THE MIDDLE EAST

From the Director of box-office Filipino films Dubai, Kailangan Kita (I Need You) and Anak (Child) comes a story that reminds us on how far we are willing to go in the name of love in LOVE ME AGAIN (LAND DOWN UNDER). The tale revolves around a woman who sought for a better life and the man who would go at world’s end just to be with her as portrayed by Philippines’ most popular and beautiful love teams to ever appear onscreen, Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual.
After working for several years in Manila, Migo (Piolo Pascual) returns to Bukidnon, to its magnificent rolling hills and lush pasture lands, to reclaim the ranch that his family had lost after his father's death. During the famous Kaamulan festival, Migo sees his first love, Arah (Angel Locsin), who also happens to be the beautiful and fearless rodeo queen of Bukidnon. He falls in love with her all over again and resolves to win back her heart as well.
Ranches everywhere are closing one by one. The glory her hometown once knew was slowly disappearing in favour of life abroad, particularly in Australia. Arah believes this too. Australia will save them from poverty. But Migo does not share this belief. He believes that Bukidnon’s glory will return if only people didn’t leave. When Arah’s father suddenly encounters an accident, Arah is left with no choice but to seek better opportunities in the land down under to earn for her family. Her decision breaks Migo’s heart. The two part ways, their problems unresolved. Arah leaves Bukidnon, along with a group of Pinoy cowboys who have been hired to work in the vast and lonely Australian ranch, which is even bigger than Bukidnon.

In Australia, Arah showed her willingness to hold her ground and tough it up along with the boys just to fulfill her dreams for herself and her family. It was this determination that caught the attention of the cold and mysterious Brian Sullivan, an Australian rancher. Back in Bukidnon, Migo was experiencing his own wave of reality. Bukidnon is not what it used to be. And fighting to keep a ranch alive and working is something he cannot do without enough experience. Despite his enthusiasm and hard work, his investments crumble slowly until he is left with nothing but a humbling realization—there is money in Australia. Migo decides to give the land down under a try. With fierce hopes of earning back what he lost, he flies to Australia, to the land where his beloved Arah went when she left him for her dreams.

However, Arah is already engaged to Brian. Being the eldest daughter of a poor cowboy, she feels compelled to accept this man's offer of marriage in order to give her family a better life, no matter how much she still loves Migo. Can their love bloom again in the dry landscape of the Outback? Will Migo be able to reclaim the love he has lost, or will he learn to let her go and start anew?

Award-winning director Rory B. Quintos takes on another heart-warming love story shot outside the metropolitan of Manila. With its scenic locations from Philippines’ highland paradise of Bukidnon to the captivating natural landscapes of Australia, Love Me Again is a film that is close to any expatriate’s heart as it delves on seeking for greener pastures far from their home country. This is Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin’s first big-screen team-up after their hit TV series Lobo (Wolf) and the latter’s first project under Star Cinema. Love Me Again is a part of Star Cinema’s major offering for its 15th anniversary.
It was the very first all-Filipino produced and made movie, starring local actors, to get a US premiere before its commercial run in the Philippines. Officially showing this 2009, Love Me Again will not only be shown nationwide in the Philippines but all over the globe. Filipinos in the Middle East would be delighted to know that they will have the chance to see what unravels of Arah and Migo’s love story themselves on the following dates:

January 29, 30, 31 at the Grand Cine Center in QATAR and Seef Cineplex in BAHRAIN; February 5, 6, 7 at the Grand Cine City in DUBAI and Grand Megamall in SHARJAH; February 12, 13, 14 at the Grand Al Mariah in ABU DHABI; and Feb 12, 13 at the Cinescape, Marina Mall in KUWAIT.

Windows 7

LAS VEGAS – Jan. 7, 2009 - At the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show, Microsoft is shining a spotlight on something besides the biggest LCD screen or the coolest new tech gadgets: It’s showing consumers how Windows can make their lives easier, more productive, more enjoyable.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer opened the show with news that a beta version of Windows 7, Microsoft’s newest operating system, will be widely available for download on Jan. 9. He also announced the final availability of Windows Live – free software and services designed to bring a person’s online world under one roof and help them keep their life in synch.

With Windows 7, first shown at the D: All Things Digital Conference his past May, Microsoft is confident it has an operating system that reflects what customers want. Windows 7 designers have surveyed more than a quarter of a million people to learn more about how they use a computer and digital devices. The Windows Research Team also conducted thousands of online interviews, and enlisted 3,600 customers for user research and usability studies.

One thing they learned was that while people enjoy the convenience and features of the many digital devices they have these days – from cameras to music players – they also want it to be easier to use their devices with their PCs, to do everyday tasks such as moving pictures from a camera to multiple PCs, or sharing music, or printing to a network.

Windows 7 has been designed to cut through that complexity and make it easier for people manage devices and access their “stuff” across multiple devices, and in any location. A new feature called Home Group, for instance, is on track to help consumers connect PCs together to access music, photos and more regardless of where it is stored. That’s a big feature for many families – research from Forrester shows that more than half of all U.S. households now have multiple PCs. With Home Group, consumers can create “libraries” of files that extend across several computers or devices, so it’s easier to find things.

Windows 7 has been designed for better everyday use. The beta will feature a cleaner interface and minimal clicks to access to files and applications. Along with its improved task bar and start menu, Windows 7 will help users finish their work or find music, photos, or video faster and easier. It also on track to boot faster, shows fewer popups and helps extend battery life on notebook PCs.

Bahrain and Qatar "Friendship Causeway"

The “Friendship Causeway” —a long dreamed-of 24-mile, double-lane bridge between the two Gulf nations—received a major kickstart recently with the announcement that a new company will form to raise money for and build the project, expected to cost US$2.7 billion.

The causeway, it’s hoped, will spark a new era of cooperation and friendship through improved economic activity and increased tourism between Bahrain and Qatar. Feasibility studies are complete and approved with construction expected to last five years. The causeway will commence near Manama and make its way along Bahrain’s eastern coast out over Gulf waters and ending at Ras Ashiraj, Qatar. When finished, it will be the longest fixed link causeway in the world.

The Friendship Causeway is part of a broad initiative of infrastructure improvements being planned and commissioned by the Bahraini government to solidify the Kingdom’s place as “Gateway to the Gulf.”
“U.S and other international businesses operating from Bahrain will benefit greatly from projects like the Friendship Causeway that provide modern access to regional markets. Bahrain will continue to lead the GCC in infrastructure developments that make our nation more attractive to business and tourist alike,” added Ambassador Belooshi.

What is Resveratrol? Why there is a lot of study for this molecules?

According to study drinking Red wine is the key for the said French Paradox. What is French Paradox? FRENCH PARADOX is a scientific observation to all French people who suffer a very low of conorary heart disease while consuming food with high in saturated fats.

The resveratrol content of wine is related to the length of time the grape skins are present during the fermentation process. Thus the concentration is significantly higher in red wine than in white wine, because the skins are removed earlier during white-wine production, lessening the amount that is extracted and Grape juice, which is not a fermented beverage, is not a significant source of resveratrol.
